In June 2021, nearly eight years after that first dance, Eric got down on one knee behind Taylor as she struck a birdie on the 18th hole at a charity golf tournament. “Everyone broke out in cheers, and Taylor unwittingly thought they were congratulating her putt,” says the couple.

As an events and marketing manager for The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, Taylor was already keyed into regional vendors and her leading wedding-day priorities. “Honestly, the hardest part was deciding in between all the remarkable ideas that everyone developed over the process,” states the couple. “It was difficult to choose what we enjoyed the most!”

They chose the Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif., where Taylor’s family have actually been members for two decades, to host 125 visitors for a classic Southern California wedding event on September 4, 2022.

Palm Reading

Taylor and Eric worked with calligraphist and fixed designer Loren James from Four Things Paper to produce a custom-made invitation suite motivated by the foliage at their venue. A watercolor illustration of the club’s palm trees beautified the liners inside the leafy-colored envelopes.

” She also cut the invitations and matching detail cards with enjoyable, geometric angles to include interest and originality, and discovered vintage stamps that featured palm leaves and plant,” says the couple.

Dress Success

Taylor just welcomed a little company of liked ones to her wedding-dress appointments, she made sure to include her father, Jim.

When Taylor put on a crepe sheath Ines di Santo dress with an undetectable mesh corset and thoroughly appliqued floral lace, she knew it checked all her boxes: “It was simple to use, easy to bustle, and still had a little bit of sexiness,” she says.” [I] understood that Eric would absolutely enjoy it.” Natural

Carla Kayes Floral Design created Taylor’s bouquet from “organic and loose florals in shades of merlot, rust, blush, and soft creamy whites,” states the bride-to-be. Taylor included a bouquet beauty– her something blue– that was a present from among her bridesmaids.

To Each Her Own

Each of Taylor’s 3 bridesmaids selected her own dress design, all in an abundant rust shade from Azazie. The women carried smaller versions of the bride-to-be’s bouquet, accented by fluttering ribbons.

Timeless Cool

Eric opted for an ageless formal appearance: A classic black tuxedo from Friar Tux with a black bow tie and white pocket square.
